EXPERIENCE DESIGN
Connecting Physical, Mobile, and Virtual Touchpoints
I led the visual direction of the immersive experience while designing the mobile platform from early wireframes through final UI.
I worked closely with developers and the VR production team, designing the mobile and virtual experiences in parallel. This allowed us to continuously test how visitors moved between their phones, the physical event, and the VR experience, and refine the interactions as the experience took shape.

ART DIRECTION
From an Indoor Court to Victoria Harbour
The visual concept transported players beyond a traditional tennis environment.
Players moved from a virtual indoor court into an unexpected setting overlooking Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour—using the city's recognizable landscape to create a more memorable and locally relevant experience.
I provided the visual direction for the virtual environment and in-game UI, collaborating closely with the VR production team to balance the creative concept with gameplay and usability.

EXPERIENCE ITERATION
Making the Virtual World Respond to the Real One
Testing revealed a subtle disconnect: while the physical event ran from morning until 10 PM, the virtual environment always appeared bright and sunny.
To make the experience feel more connected to the real world, I proposed adapting the environment and UI between day and night modes.
Working with the production team, we refined the lighting and interface to reflect the time of day. The change created a more immersive experience, and unexpectedly gave visitors another reason to experience the game again in a different atmosphere.
